What is Veripred?
Veripred is a corticosteroid. Drugs in this class treat inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis and psoriasis, by reducing the activity of the immune system. Inflammation is an immune response, so by reducing the immune system’s response, Veripred also helps bring down inflammation.
How do I take Veripred?
Measure each Veripred dose using the measuring device that comes with your prescription. If you do not receive a measuring cup or spoon, talk to your pharmacist. Follow the instructions on your prescription label carefully. Don’t suddenly stop taking Veripred, as this could cause withdrawal symptoms.
Before taking Veripred, tell your doctor if:

What are the possible side effects of taking Veripred?
Veripred may cause mood changes, difficulty sleeping, acne, dry or thinning skin, excessive sweating, dizziness, headache, nausea, bloating, or changes in the location and shape of body fat. If any of these side effects last a long time or become severe, tell your doctor. Contact your doctor right away if you experience vision problems, sudden weight gain, shortness of breath, depression, seizures, tarry or bloody stools, coughing up blood, dangerously high blood pressure, severe upper stomach pain, irregular heart rate, muscle weakness, unusual thirst, or increased urination.
What if I forget to take a dose of Veripred?
If you miss a dose of Veripred, call your doctor to find out what to do.
How do I store Veripred?
Store Veripred at room temperature, away from humidity and heat. Keep the bottle tightly sealed, and don’t leave it anywhere that children or pets could reach. If you no longer need this medication or it has expired, talk to your pharmacist to determine how best to dispose of the leftover solution.
What happens if I overdose on Veripred?
You are unlikely to experience any severe adverse effects from overdosing on Veripred. However, long-term use of steroids at a high dose can lead to unpleasant side effects.
