What is Morgidox?
Morgidox is an acne medication that is used in combination with other treatments to treat patients 8 years of age or older. The active ingredient in Morgidox, doxycycline hyclate, is tetracycline antibiotic that helps reduce acne infections by stopping the growth of bacteria present on the skin. As with any antibiotics, it is important to take Morgidox as directed by your doctor to avoid developing antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections.
How do I take Morgidox?
Take Morgidox at least one to two hours after a meal with at least 8 ounces of water. It is important to take medication whole, and avoid crushing or puncturing Morgidox capsules. It is important to take Morgidox throughout the entire prescribed treatment, even if acne clears up.
Before taking Morgidox, tell your doctor if:
- You are pregnant or plan to become pregnant

Discontinue Morgidox in case of an overdose, and treat symptoms with accordingly. Contact poison control 1-800-222-1222 or 911 if you experience trouble breathing, tightness in chest, or experience extreme fatigue.

Patients should avoid direct sunlight and artificial ultraviolet light while taking Morgidox as it can cause skin irritations and burns. To avoid severe skin burns, wear sunscreen or sunblock throughout the duration of the Morgidox treatment. Morgidox is an antibiotic that treats bacterial infections, and cannot be used to treat viral infections.
