This medicine is a corticosteroid used to reduce itching, redness, and swelling associated with many skin conditions. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. TO USE THIS MEDICINE: shake the container well before using a dose. Hold the container 3 to 6 inches (8 to 15 cm) from the affected area and spray lightly. WASH YOUR HANDS immediately after using this medicine, unless your hands are part of the treated area. DO NOT APPLY this medicine on the underarms or groin areas unless directed to do so by your doctor. DO NOT BANDAGE OR WRAP the affected area or wear tight-fitting clothing unless directed otherwise by your doctor. DO NOT use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants on children using this medicine in the diaper area. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C), away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom. Do not puncture, break, or burn the container, even if it appears empty. KEEP THIS MEDICINE out of the reach of children and away from pets. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, apply it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. TELL YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU ARE TAKING an oral corticosteroid (eg, prednisone). DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, including any kind of skin infection, cuts, scrapes, thinning of the skin, or lessened blood flow to your skin; recent vaccination; measles; chickenpox; shingles; tuberculosis (TB) or a history of a positive TB skin test; allergies; pregnancy; or breast-feeding. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions about taking this medicine.
A SIDE EFFECT that may occur while using this medicine is mild, temporary stinging. If it continues or is bothersome, check with your doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience acne-like rash; excessive hair growth; impaired wound healing; inflamed hair follicles; inflammation around the mouth; severe or persistent itching, burning, dryness, redness, or swelling of the skin; or thinning, softening, or discoloration of the skin. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
