Acticlate Information:

What is Acticlate?

Acticlate is a brand-name medication that contains doxycycline hyclate, a commonly prescribed tetracycline antibiotic. This brand is indicated for the treatment of acne, but doxycycline is used to treat a large variety of bacterial infections. It works by killing the bacteria that may be a cause of the acne.

Acticlate comes in the form of a scored tablet that can be broken into three pieces according to the dosage your doctor prescribes. Acticlate is usually taken once daily with a full glass of water, and the average dose for adults is 100mg. Doses will vary and your doctor will prescribe you the right one according to your size and severity of your condition.

Before taking Acticlate, tell your doctor if:

Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any serious side effects.

What if I forget to take a dose of Acticlate?

If you forget to take a dose of Acticlate, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue on your regular regimen. Do not take a double dose of Acticlate to make up for a missed one.
