This medication may cause drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you. Alcohol may add to the drowsiness effect of this medication. Do not consume alcohol while using this medication. This drug may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting when you get up too quickly from a lying position. Take care to get up slowly to minimize these side effects while using this medication. This drug may remain in your body for several weeks after you stop taking it. Let your doctor or pharmacist know that you recently stopped taking this medication before you start taking another medication.

What are the possible side effects of using Parnate?   Contact your doctor if you experience these symptoms and if they do not go away: drowsiness weakness dry mouth hair loss rash loss of appetite diarrhea or constipation stomach pain blurred vision chills ringing in the ears muscle tightness shaking or tremors numbness, burning, or tingling in the arms or legs difficulty urinating decreased sexual ability Contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical attention if you experience any of these symptoms: headache or dizziness slow, fast, or pounding heartbeat chest pain or chest tightness tightening of the throat nausea sweating fever cold, clammy skin neck stiffness or neck soreness sensitivity to light wide pupils unusual bleeding or bruising pain in the upper right part of the stomach swelling of arms, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs flu-like symptoms yellowing of the skin or eyes

What if I forget to use a dose of Parnate?

 

Take your missed dose of Parnate as soon as your remember to take it, unless it is almost time for the next dose. If this is the case, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dose schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Store this medication tightly closed when not in use. Store it at room temperature and keep away from excess moisture and heat. Keep this medication out of reach of children and away from pets. Properly dispose of any expired or unnecessary medication.
