If you are using estrogen injection to treat hot flashes due to menopause, your symptoms should improve within 1 to 5 days after you receive the injection. Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after receiving the injection.

Ask your doctor if it is advisable to eat grapefruits or drink grapefruit juice while using this medication.

Before using Delestrogen, tell your doctor if:

 

• you are allergic to Delestrogen or any other medications

Warnings

 

• Taking estrogen increases the risk that you will develop endometrial cancer. This risk increases the longer you take estrogen. If you have not had a hysterectomy, you should be given a progestin (a hormone) to take with estrogen injection. Taking progestin may decrease your risk of developing endometrial cancer, but it may also increase your risk of developing breast cancer and certain other health problems. Discuss the risks of using estrogen with your doctor.
